Cécile Balate --- art & set design ----------------------------------------------------------------

Cécile Balate is a visual artist and stage designer. Beyond the theater and events in public space, she develops an intimate language of materials around charcoal, fire and friable materials. She draws, paints, carves, between Europe and West Africa, where the dust inspires her creations. She tries to light some existential questions through contemporary history like identity, dignity and defragmentation of humans and beings.
